This book contains 568 fish species found in fresh- and brackish-water areas of the Indochinese Mekong. This book is actually not a comprehensive guide for the fishes of the Mekong, where ca. 1,100 species are presumably found, but it does include almost all of the species commonly seen in the region.
We hope that this book will contribute to various aspects of activities performed by researchers, students, fisheries officers, fishermen and all the other who are interested in the inland-water fishes in the Indochinese Mekong.
